Andrew has extensive financial experience spanning a 30 year career in financial services, Business Development, Debt Recovery, Commercial and Retail Banking. Andrew has particular experience in process improvement, with particular capabilities in process improvement, productivity initiatives and Lean processes for Financial Institutions. Having completed a specialist diploma in Quality Management Lean systems from University of Limerick, Andrew has the practical application to a black Belt level.

ACC Loan Management – Process Improvement Manger & Team Leader Arrears Cure Unit

As the Process Improvement Manager, Andrew was responsible for the day to day management and performance of Arrears Cure Team for the Mid-West region with a portfolio of 300 cases totalling circa €120m. He also had the discretion to approve reviews of facilities of up to €5m and make provisions of up to €1.25m. Andrew also implements a Lean process review of management of all arrears cases within ACC Loan Management to create improve reporting MI and standardised approach to all cases with the bank.

ACC Bank/RaboBank – Senior Banking Manager

As Senior Banking Manager, Andrew was responsible for managing large loan portfolios. Andrew played a key role in a number of strategic projects in the bank including developing and enacting a business process improvement through Lean thinking processes for financial based organizations. Andrew was a key driver in developing joint deals between Rabobank International & ACC Bank in the areas of technology, energy production and eco-environmental opportunities.

Professional Highlights

  • Successfully managed the Limerick Business Centre and ensured the centre achieved review target of being within the 6% tolerance rule.
  • Instigated weekly arrears meetings within the Business Centre ensuring the risk profile of accounts was being closely managed. This resulted in the successful action plans which recognised the risks to the Bank and recommend timely downgrades where appropriate.
  • Successfully involved in leading teams in four major Banks.
  • Successfully completed courses in negotiating skills in both AIB and Ulster Bank and used this knowledge in teams ensure that they were considered high performers in managing profitable portfolio.
