At LBSParnters, we feel very fortunate to be in a position to give back to our community. 2017 sees us into year two of a three-year partnership as official sponsors of Cycle 4 Sick Children (C4SC).
C4SC was established in 2007 as a cycling team who make a difference. Without realising it, you have probably noticed the team on the road in their distinctive pink jerseys, out training, attending sportives or charity events throughout the country. Every time they get on their bikes, they create awareness for children’s disability and serious illnesses in Ireland. The club is a leisure club with members of all ages and levels of ability.
“Our group was set up to try to remove words like “obstacles” and to promote words like “success” and “opportunities” for children living with disabilities. We want to create awareness of their needs, and to support these children and their families who have to work hard to gain access to services, for equality and understanding “ explains Valerie Dunne, Chairperson of Cycle 4 Sick Children
We aspire to ensure our partnership will see a growth in support and funds for this amazing cause.
Since its inception, C4SC have provided support to Children’s Ark Unit at University Hospital Limerick, St Gabriel’s School Limerick, Mid-West School for Hearing Impaired Children, Cliona’s Foundation, St Vincent’s Lisnagry Respite Home, The Jack and Jill Foundation, Enable Ireland, Crumlin Hospital and many more.
“For many of our team, cycling is our favourite past time and we have thoroughly enjoyed cycling alongside C4SC in events around the country. Continuing our relationship in an official capacity, raising funds to support deserving Irish children’s charities, is an exciting time for us all” Dan O Donnell, General Manager, LBSPartners.
