Company Project
Each learner is required to put their learnings into action through the completion of an improvement project. You’ll use the A3 template to finish your projects, which covers the organized way Lean solves problems. This will show that you understand the main ideas, tools, and best ways of doing things in Lean. The results of your projects will be used to show your company how much they benefited from the program. This gives a clear way to measure success using real data.

Mentoring Support Plan
Mentoring sessions delivered online.
The main goal of this program is for you to be able to lead an improvement project at your company. This shows that you’ve learned something and can use it. The mentoring you’ll get will help you apply what you’ve learned and guide you through the process of making changes. The mentoring sessions are used to achieve the following:
• Meet owner / key managers in the company to scope out the project(s).
• Prepare project business cases and involve your finance team as required.
• Provide support and feedback to members of the project team.
• Complete the assignment with a presentation to the management team.
The program aims to give the project team the know-how and skills they need to use Lean thinking on their own in the future. This will give them the confidence to make improvements on their own and make decisions based on data.

What Are the Prerequisites for Lean Yellow Belt Training?
There are no formal prerequisites for this training. It is designed for individuals new to Lean methods and does not require prior experience.
How Is the Training Delivered?
The online training is delivered over 4 weeks. Each Wekly sessions is half-day and is flexible on a situational level.
The 4 sessions are instructor led, supplemented with practical exercises and include relevant case studies.
How long does this training take?
This programme is delivered online in four sessions of four hours duration
including three breaks.
Specialised mentoring of 1⁄2 day per participant is provided for each project over the course of the four sessions.
What will I learn?
:Lean Yellow Belt training, you’ll gain comprehensive skills in identifying and solving problems using structured methodologies.
- Identify and Make Problems Visible: Learn to recognize issues and bring them to light for effective resolution.
- Structured Problem-Solving Methodologies: Master the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) and Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) frameworks for systematic problem solving.
- Tools to Define Problems: Use SIPOC diagrams, Process Mapping, and Run Charts to clearly define and understand problems.
- Analysis Tools: Employ Histograms, Pareto Analysis, and Scatter Charts to analyze data and identify patterns.
- Root Cause Analysis Tools: Utilize the 5 Whys and Cause & Effect Diagrams to determine the root causes of problems.
- Sustaining Tools: Learn to use Control Charts and Visual Control to maintain and sustain improvements over time.
- Tool Selection and Application: Develop the ability to choose and apply the right tools to solve problems and sustain improvements effectively.
- A3 Process Application: Successfully apply the A3 process to document and communicate problem-solving efforts and solutions.
This training ensures you both understand these concepts and know how to apply them effectively to drive continuous improvement and contribute significantly to your business’s success.
What Kind of Certification Will I Receive?
Participants will receive a Lean Yellow Belt certification upon successful completion. This demonstrates their understanding of Lean principles and their ability to support Lean projects.
Option 1
Certification from LBS Partners Upon successful completion of the training and In Company Project. All learners will be accredited with an LBS Partners certification. There is no additional charge for this certificate.
Option 2
Certification from the University of Limerick (UL)
This training course is recognised by the University of Limerick. Learners will be accredited with a level 8 (undergraduate) certificate or 6 ECTS credits. This requires the successful completion of the training, In Company Project and personal reflection. This accreditation is optional to the LBS Partners certification. Additional costs are applicable.
